PFM_Logo_complex_30x30cm.pngTo mark the 2nd anniversary of our Plastic Free Mersey programme, we are holding a Plastic Litter Blitz along the River Irk in north Manchester on Wednesday 5 July from 10am to 1pm.

We will be doing a litter pick along the River Irk and sorting the litter we find using our Plastic Free Mersey litter survey method to categorise the litter collected: plastic, glass, paper, metal, etc.

We will meet at 10am at Queen's Park, Manchester by the road entrance to the park, just off Queen's Road/Park View.  Nearest postcode is M9 5FF.  5 minutes walk from Queen's Road Metrolink stop.

All equipment provided.  Please wear strong shoes/boots and long trousers are highly recommended due to nettles and brambles along parts of the route.  Please wear clothing suitable for the weather conditions.
